THE PROCEDURE
First, the area to be treated will be cleansed. The Cryo Broadlight Genesis treatment is applied in a series of gentle but intense pulses of light over the treatment area. Without damaging the skin, the light penetrates through the skin and is absorbed by tiny capillaries or blood vessels visible through the skin, or it is absorbed by any pigmentation, sunspot or freckle or hair follicle present. The intense pulse of light is then transformed into heat energy, which causes damage to the blood vessel or pigmented area. Then, through its natural cleansing process, the body clears the debris away.
The Cryo Broadlight Genesis treatment will vary from 10 to 30 minutes, depending on the size of the area to be treated. Most treatments are painless, but specific treatments may feel a little like a rubber band snap to the skin. Topical or skin anaesthetic may be applied if required. The cooling head on the Cryo Broadlight makes treatments with this technology almost completely painless.
BEFORE YOU ARRIVE
Please avoid sun exposure and tanning for at least 4 weeks prior to treatment. Stop using all topical Vitamin A products for 7 days prior to treatment and please arrive without make-up.
POST TREATMENT CARE
Pigmentation may darken over the next 24 hours and your skin may feel sensitive and warm.
The Cryo Broadlight Genesis treatment does not involve any downtime, so you will be free to resume your normal activities when the treatment is complete. Some expected side effects include swelling, redness, and sensitive for up to 24 hours. We recommend avoid strenuous exercise and swimming for the following 48 hours.
